Project 1    |   Online store Leuk Houtje

Leuk Houtje needed an online store for the sale of their personalized woodworking. I was allowed to design this for them and I think we achieved a great result together. The website is structured and clean, but feels homely with the use of natural colors.

You can order your desired products directly from the site, so be sure to take a look at the range via the link on the banner below. Website is in Dutch.

The entire website was created in the Wix environment, which I have been familiar with for some time through making the J. de Bruin Media website, among others.

I have learned a lot from this beautiful project. I had never created a webshop before, so the learning curve was big. Now that the result is here, I am very happy with what we have put together!

Project 2    |   Musical script & illustrations Next Step

As part of a major project in the third year of my studies, I wrote and illustrated a farewell musical. It's about a HAVO class that goes to camp and encounters all kinds of obstacles. Sometimes there is a fire and other times the tires are punctured. They discover that they need the help of professionals. And these are all former VMBO students.

The idea with this project was to solve a social problem. With Next Step we try to make children proud of their VMBO education advice again!

Below you can find the PDF file with the entire musical. All text was written by myself and the illustrations were made by myself. Be sure to read it! Script is in Dutch.

Project 3    |   Magazine WorldTour

A magazine to remember someone's journey around the world. Kris traveled all over the world and eventually ended up in the Netherlands. I made a nice magazine about this with my own photo report of him.

Take a look at the design and photos below! Magazine is in Dutch.

Project 4    |   Poster design Armoedefonds

For a school assignment, it was up to me to design two posters for an action by the Armoedefonds (poverty fund) to alleviate menstrual poverty. These were not actually used by the Armoedefonds and were only commissioned by my school.

The posters had to be informative, attention-grabbing and clear to the viewer. The aim of the campaign was to raise money for people living in poverty, with a focus on period poverty. The posters use the house style of the Armoedefonds, together with some other elements.

Project 5    |   Logo design Green Thread

I asked ChatGPT to come up with an assignment for me. The chatbot then gave me the task of creating a logo for a fictional clothing brand that wants to radiate modernity and sustainability. It was to be called 'Green Thread'. See the result below!

Green Thread's logo had to exude sustainability, while also showing that the clothing brand strives for quality and elegance. The elegant dress came together with the green leaf, as a metaphor for sustainability. All this combined with a modern font to attract the younger audience.

The tagline 'Sustainably stylish ' perfectly states what the brand stands for and appeals well to the young, sustainable target group.

Project 6    |    Logo design Esports teams

Besides designing logos and filming videos, gaming is one of my hobbies. That's why I decided to convert well-known logos from well-known brands into logos for e-sports teams. Take a look!

LOGO J de Bruin Media TRANSPARENT.png

An assignment from myself.

Below you can see all the logos that I created and designed myself. You will see logos from Gucci, Fanta and a single never-before-seen logo!

Amazon: This logo conveys everything you want to convey as a team. The aggressive font in combination with the shape of the Amazon smile from the original logo is perfect for this brand.

Meta (Facebook): A brand that everyone knows and must therefore remain recognizable. With the colors of the original logo and a mascot created from the same logo, everyone knows this is Meta's team!

NASA: Instead of the space race, this team is now busy with the online race. This logo is the combination of the modern and the original logo of the space agency. With this we tell the story of the brand and it offers many possibilities for branding!

Gucci: From fashion to gaming, quite a step. Yet Gucci offers the opportunity to reach the top of the gaming community in luxury. With the two G's turned into GG (Good Game), this is the perfect gaming logo for this brand.

Fanta: Like Red Bull in Formula 1, Fanta also wants its own team. They stay as close to their original logo as possible, so that they remain as recognizable as possible.

McDonald's: In addition to their delicious food, this major brand also decides to create a super good e-sports team. And their games are "finger lickin' good", just like this logo that fits their corporate identity exactly!

Project 7    |   Poster and logo design Olympics

What if we could host the Olympic Games in the Netherlands once again? To anticipate that possibility, I have already made a logo and a poster! Take a look and don't forget to check out the Instagram post by clicking the banner below!

An assignment from myself.

Because the Netherlands is such a cultural country with a rich history, I decided to use the style of a famous artist. Mondrian's style is clearly reflected in the design of the poster below.

Olympic games poster.png

The logo, on the other hand, is a bit more modern, in order to connect the ancient times of the Netherlands with the present day. For example, we see a modern font and a simple icon in the shape of a tulip, which refers to our place in the global economy and the tulip is also our national logo.
